This 5-day Tokyo itinerary offers a perfect blend of cultural exploration, scenic beauty, and festive New Year celebrations. Upon arrival, you will be transferred to your hotel, where you can relax after your journey. The following day, enjoy a full-day guided city tour visiting Senso-ji Temple, Nakamise Street, Tokyo Skytree, and the Imperial Palace, culminating in the dazzling Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks and New Year festivities around Tokyo Tower. On Day 3, a private excursion to Mt. Fuji and Hakone includes a visit to Fuji’s 5th Station, a scenic Lake Ashi cruise, and midnight fireworks at Hakone Shrine. Day 4 is dedicated to Tokyo Disneyland, where you can enjoy rides, shows, and seasonal attractions, capped with a spectacular New Year’s parade and fireworks. Upon arrival at either Narita or Haneda International Airport in Tokyo (exact time to be advised), you will be welcomed by your private driver. You will be transferred by private vehicle to your accommodation, the Hotel Wing International Premium Tokyo Yotsuya (double room – 16 sqm) or a similar 3-star hotel. After checking in—note that standard check-in time is 3:00 PM—you will have the rest of the day at leisure to freshen up and relax following your journey. Dinner will be at your own expense. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tokyo.
After breakfast at the hotel, you will meet your English-speaking guide (ESG) in the lobby to begin a full-day private guided tour of Tokyo. The tour will include a visit to Senso-ji Temple and Nakamise Shopping Street, known for being Tokyo’s oldest temple and a vibrant cultural hub. You will then visit the Tokyo Skytree, where you will ascend to the 350-meter observation deck for panoramic views of the city. A photo stop at the Imperial Palace is also scheduled. Lunch will be on your own during the tour. In the evening, you will witness the Odaiba Rainbow Fireworks at 7:00 PM, followed by New Year’s Eve festivities around Tokyo Tower. After the celebration, you will be dropped off at your hotel. Dinner will be on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tokyo.
Enjoy breakfast at the hotel before meeting your ESG in the lobby for a full-day private tour of Mt. Fuji and Hakone. You will first proceed to Mt. Fuji’s 5th Station, located at an altitude of 2,300 meters (7,546 feet), offering spectacular views of the surrounding landscape. Lunch will be on your own during the tour. The trip continues with a scenic cruise on Lake Ashi in Hakone, where you can relax and enjoy stunning views of both the lake and Mt. Fuji. In the evening, you will witness the New Year fireworks at Hakone Shrine, a culturally significant and picturesque event that takes place at midnight on January 1st. You will return to your hotel in Tokyo following the event. Dinner will be on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tokyo.
After breakfast at the hotel, your driver will meet you in the lobby for a private transfer to Tokyo Disneyland. You will spend the entire day at the park, enjoying rides, shows, and seasonal attractions. Lunch will be at your own expense inside the park. In the evening, experience the special New Year's fireworks and the nighttime parade, both highlights of the holiday celebration. After the festivities, you will be transferred back to your hotel. Dinner will be on your own. Overnight stay at the hotel in Tokyo.
On your final day, enjoy breakfast at the hotel. After check-out, a private vehicle will transfer you to Tokyo International Airport for your departure flight. The tour ends as you board your flight home, carrying with you memorable experiences from your visit to Japan.
